APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING OBJECT

PURPOSE:To lower the mean power consumption of an apparatus for identifying an object by normally operating the apparatus to detect the common code of responders as the object to thereby prevent dispatching of unnecessary interrogation signal. CONSTITUTION:A sweep signal from a sweep oscillator 2 is amplified by an amplifier 3 to thus become a modulation signal. A modulator 5 produces an interrogation signal, which is amplified through a switch 6 by an amplifier 7 and irradiated from a transmitting antenna 8 to a responder 9. The response from the responder 9 is received and demodulated by a demodulator 12. A mixer 13 produces the difference signal between the output signal from the amplifier 3 and the output signal from the demodulator 12, which signal is applied through a matching filter 14, and a pulsating circuit 15 to a marker signal detector 10 and a signal processor 16. After the signal processor 16 detects the error of normal mark, it produces its output at its output terminal 17.
