The valve housing is fitted on an opening provided on the face mask wall. On the housing a clip-on cover with outlet socket is fitted. Between the free rim of the cover and the fastening flange of the housing a fastening ring is provided for straps to hold the mask in place. The housing is tightly screwed down on the mask body by a tapped ring. On the outside of the cover an additional chamber is fitted with a forked seal rim reaching into slots of the housing. Coinciding with the area of the chamber the cover is provided with an opening into which a microphone capsule is fitted resting against the chamber face via a spring.
