Car licence plate security system - includes holder with sharp projections defacing plate on disassembly

The arrangement is intended for securing the licence plate (5) of a motor car so that it is defaced on disassembly. The plate (5) is fixed (6, 8) to the car body (9) via the licence disc (3) holder (1). Facing the plate, the holder has a number of sharp projections engaging corresp. bores in the plate. On disassembly the disc holder (1), which is fixed via a screwed shank and nuts (6, 8) rotates, and the projections cut into the plate (5) thus preventing its unauthorised subsequent use.
