Push plate and actuator rod assemblies for diaphragm fluid pressure brake actuators are made by punching discs (21-26) of metal from a sheet and employing cruciform-shaped intermediate pieces (27) to provide radial strengthening of the discs (21) when mounted to actuator rods thereby enabling thinner sheet material to be used and also utilise the otherwise waste material of the cruciform shapes. |
