PURPOSE:To coat a pipe such as steel pipe with an extruded plastic film without any warp and air void on the side by winding the film on the surface thereof adjusting the temperature on the side. CONSTITUTION:A plastic film 2 extruded from a die 1 is applied on the surface of a pipe in such a manner with the side thereof placed on the surface of the pipe. At least a temperature adjusting roller 4 adapted to contact the side of the film and a heater 6 for heating the film side are provided between the die and the coating position. Thus, the coating is performed adjusting the temperature on the side of the film 2. This temperature adjustment of the side can prevent defects such as warp, which have been apt to occur on the side due to severe cooling. |
