A temperature sensor 24,210 for a fluid, which comprises a base member 38,234 of non-conductive material. A fin member 40,224 of conductive material is supported by the base member. The fin member which may be a disc 40 or a dome 224, has a high area to mass ratio. On a surface of the fin member is disposed a semi-conductor chip 48,240 the resistance of which varies with temperature. One terminal of the semiconductor chip is electrically connected with the fin member itself connected to a first output conductor 52,230. A second terminal of the semi-conductor chip is electrically connected to a second output conductor 54,232.
