<p>Articulated plastic collar for connecting pipes is produced by injection moulding plastic material, and has an abutment region (2) in the angular zones B2 and B3, and similar regions at the ends (14, 16) in the angular zones B1 and B4, in order to give increased resistance than in the flexible parts (10, 12) of the strip joining these regions (2, 14, 16), while the sum of B1 and B2 on the one hand, and of B3 and B4, on the other hand, is equal to 90 deg., and the strip is preformed according to the external curvature of the pipe to be encircled in the angular zones B1, B2, B3, and B4. Joining sections of drainpipes or sewage pipes on houses etc. The collar can be cheaply produced from rigid PVC by injection moulding.</p> |
