The steel bar (S), for screwing to nuts or other connecting or anchoring components, is esp. for use in concrete construction, as an anchor, spacer or clamping bar in formwork units. It has a thread-type profiling (P), produced by non-cutting cold shaping in a rolling process. The profiling consists of a continuous helical-type elevation (E) on a core, and a virtually cylindrical base area (G) in each case between two such elevations at a bar-length interval apart. The head of the elevation is bounded by an external face (K), and the sides are bounded by two flank surfaces (F) opening out into the base area. The head may be partially or wholly cylindrical. This is easily made, in varying sizes, and is robust and widely applicable.
|
