The load-bearing structural system is esp. suitable for ceilings and floors, but can also be used for external walls and other walls; it involves prefabricated box-shaped structural elements made of wood, metal, concrete or any other suitable material. The box-shaped elements (1) are assembled to form a rigid prestressed panel, with the aid of non-embedded prestressed bars or cables, acting as tension elements (5), the prestressing forces being transferred from these to the elements. There may be a filling (3), of a stone, wool or similar material of light weight inserted in the elements from the open flat sides (2) and this may incorporate a central symmetrical hollow recess (4). At least two opposite sides of the elements may be at an acute angle to the base. |
