The weapons system for a fighter aircraft has a magazine which is rotatable about a shaft axis and which contains a number of missiles. The magazine is rotated and a missile is selected for firing in accordance with commands from a control system. The control system selects a missile which can most advantageously attack a target and rotates the magazine into a position to fire the missle at the target. Several magazines may be carried on the lower side of a fuselage or on the under wing of an aircraft. The magazines may be rotatable about a vertical axis.
