The accident warning system for the vehicle has several collision sensors spaced about the vehicle to monitor impacts from different directions, and to activate a radio beacon to warn other road users. The beacon operates over a short range and with a broad band so that it is detected by car radios. The beacon also incorporates flashers for conventional warning. The radio signal has a broad band carrier signal, covering the normal radio stations, and is modulated by the warning signal, to overlie the radio stations.
