<p>The mechanism automatically releases a safety belt at a predetermined time after the impact resulting from an accident. It consists of a hydraulic damper (1) incorporated in the belt, and whose piston (2) is locked in the rest position. When an impact occurs, a spring (3) moves the piston in its cylinder, and when movement is complete the belt is released. An elastic ring (4) can be used to lock the piston, while the belt locking bolt can be ejected by the pressure generated through piston movement.</p> |
