<p>Test strip for self-adhesive sealing webs is characterised in that ply firmly laminated onto seal-adhesive and sealing material, usually a polyethylene film, protrudes beyond the edges of the substrate on one or both sides. Reference is made to sealing tapes of conventional construction e.g. a strongly adhesive, water-proof, sealing ply is laminated, on one side, to a firmly adhering thin ply, usually a polyethylene film, and, on the other side, to a weakly adhering, easily strippable, ply, usually a silicone paper. The claimed construction of the test strip facilitates sepn. of the plies, as desired, so that testing of any sealing job for water-proofness is easier.</p> |
