PURPOSE:To detect troubles in power source device by connecting a series circuit consisting of a resistor and a diode in parallel with a counterflow blocking diode and measuring the voltage applied to the counterflow blocking diode. CONSTITUTION:A duplex power source device feeds power from two power sources to a load and stably feeds the load with power from one of the sources even when a trouble has occurred in the other. In the device, a series circuit consisting of a resistor 14 and a diode 15 is connected in parallel with a counterflow blocking diode 3. When current is fed normally to a load 5, the diode 15 is in its OFF condition and the output voltage is nearly equal to a reference voltage. When the set point of the power source device has fallen below that of the other device during duplex operation, the output voltage is held at the output voltage of the other device, the diode 3 becomes interrupted, and the voltage at point b is nearly equal to the reference voltage. When a trouble has occurred in the power source device and the emitter of a control transistor has been removed, the voltage at point b becomes almost zero. Thus, whether the trouble has occurred in the power source device or not can be readily checked by detection the voltage at point b. |
