Electrode plates, esp. sintered nickel plates, are produced by inserting the sintered plates in a frame which is revolved. The articles are exposed to the centrifugal action of a salt (nickel nitrate) solution, followed by an alkaline precipitation solution and finally flushing water. Forming electrodes are provided so that the same apparatus can be used for the subsequent forming operation. A pipe can be used to evacuate the vessel and to exhaust the electrolyte mist. This reduces the time required for the sequence of operations to a min. It is a simple method for achieving an invariable high quality.
