An electrical switch comprises a case (12) which houses two contacts (42, 44). The contacts are bridged by a conductive bar (46) which at one end has opposed recesses (48) in which are pivotally engaged cylindrical projections (50) formed on the case and a cover. The bar (46) engages contact (44) at all times and may be pivoted about the projections (50) by means of a rod (62) linked to a handle (26).
