The compress has flat lateral flaps, designed to be folded over the exterior face of the between-leg part of the pants after the compress has been placed in position to ensure its immobilisation. The lateral flaps are formed as an extension of one of the two layers making up the wrapper for the absorbent core of the compress, the other layer being fixed to the first layer following the shape of the core.
