The end of the wiper arm (40) has a press on moulding with a lateral stub (31) which locates through a hole in the side of the wiper blade support (10). The stub is hollow and threaded to take a securing bolt (20) through a hole in the other side of the support. The bolt pivot has no sharp edges to cause injury and can be removed to replace the wiper. The bolt can be a captive mounting in the side hole so that it is not easily lost.
