PURPOSE:To obtain non-flammable fire resistant wire which produces no hydrochloric acid gas by employing a specific fire-retardant poly-olefin compound for the outer case. CONSTITUTION:A sheath 6 of fire-retardant compound composed of poly-olefin or its copolymer or compound mixed with 50-300 wt% of inorganic metallic hydrate is provided at the outside of insulated core constituted of a conductor 1 applied with fire-resistant layer 2 and insulation layer 3. Middle or low pressure polyethylene having the density of 0.92-0.93, for example, is employed as poly- olefin while fine powder of aluminium hydroxide, for example, is employed as inorganic metallic hydrate. With such arrangement non-flammable fire resistant wire having excellent fire resistance and produces no poisonous gas such as hydrochloric acid gas can be obtained. |
