PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the judgement and operation of a person, to prevent human error and to improve operability by performing the judgement of a tool selection by an interactive numerical value control device and deciding by selecting automatically the tool optimum for working in the tools having a tool service life. CONSTITUTION:In case of changing over to an automatic programming mode by operating a data input device MDI 15, a CPU 10 executes the program stored in a memory 12, starting an NC program making process of an interactive type by utilizing a CRT picture face 16. At the time of a tool designation being necessary on the way the CPU 10 selects the kind of tools by the work shape input via a non-volatile memory 14, selecting a tool from a cutting conditions file, detecting from the tool file as to whether or not having a tool life and in case of the life remaining the programming is executed as an using tool. In case of no life the CPU 10 reads the tool of priority next from the tool file, repeating until the tool having a service life can be found, a selected tool is programmed as an using tool and an alarm display is performed on the CRT scope 16 in case of the last tool having no life as well. |
