Ion-exchange filter cartridge has a bed of inert granular material, e.g. plastic, barium sulphide or fritted porous elastic material with an opt. perforated plate underneath. The bed material has a lower specific gravity than the exchange material and therefore holds the exchange mass in position during regeneration. |
