<p>PURPOSE:To permit stable control to be obtained even in case when the power factor of the load is advanced by providing a thyristor, which functions to shunt a rectifying circuit for supplying a current component taken from a power current transformer to a first field winding. CONSTITUTION:A current component from a power current transformer is supplied through a rectifying circuit Rf1 to a first exciting coil F2 of an exciter EX, and a current component through a rectifying circuit Rf3 controlled by an automatic voltage regulator Ais supplied to a second field winding F3. Normally,for a thyristor s connected to the Dc side of the rectifying circuit Rf1 a desired firing instant is selectd, and the field voltage for the field winding F2 is held at a predetermined value. When the load power factor is advanced, a thyristor s is fired, and the control angle of the thyristor group of the rectifying circuit Rf3 is gradually reduced by an automatic voltage regulator AVR.</p> |
