The thermal-storage heater has an electrically-heated storage core and a discharge channel along which air is blown by a fan. A temp. sensor is located in the outlet to control the temp. of the air leaving the channel. The temp. sensor (13) controls the fan's motor directly by switching its supply on and off via a controller or switch (15). The sensor consists of a capillary tube filled with a fluid whose expansion/contraction moves a membrane that operates the controller or switch.
