<p>A pump is coupled with the rotating part of the vehicle wheel support. It consists of an annular element, one part of which is a drive coupling. This element is carried outside the brake drum and rotates with it. The annular element is a metal shell with a central opening for the wheel hub and holes for fixing it on to the brake drum. It includes a crown wheel which is welded on to the outside edge of the shell. To drive the pump, there is the helicoidal toothed crown wheel and a chain or belt transmission.</p> |
