<p>The system for hoisting a concrete block using e.g. a crane hook, uses a special adaptor block (1) between two cable loops hung from the hook, and a special cable (9)which passes through a channel in the concrete block. The special cable has tapered piece (10) at each end, with its larger end facing outwards. The adaptor block has a slot (3) through it, parallel to its longer sides, whose width is greater than the dia. of the special cable, but less than the dia. of the enlarged ends. In the middle of the slot is a hole (2) through which the enlarged ends are passed to slide along the slot and then locate in corresponding tapered holes (6) one each end. The adaptor also has two pairs of holes (4) for the two cable loops for the hook.</p> |
