PURPOSE:To improve code correction capability by a simple circuit without using a mass storage, by providing a table retrieval equipment, which outputs the code error position related to a specific code, in the code error correction circuit dependent upon algebraic operations in data transmission, etc. CONSTITUTION:A code error correction circuit is provided which performs the prescribed algebraic processing by syndrome generator 1 for input codes and syndrome operator 2 and outputs an error-corrected code or code error position information, and further, table retrieval equipment 3 is provided which inputs the code related to each specific pattern code prescribed beforehand in the input code and outputs an error-corrected code or error position information corresponding to the specific pattern. Then, only the prescribed specific syndrome pattern is inputted and signals corresponding to this pattern are outputted, so that code correction capability can be improved with a small required memory capacity. |
