A folding table comprising a table-top supported by two pairs of legs each pair braced together by at least one bracing pivotally connected as a unit to said table-top about a transverse axe, wherein: each pair of legs in the form of a C member is are pivotally connected to the underside of the table-top by a guiding bar system, is formed by a first and a second box-like bar the first bar of which is pivotally attached at its outer end to the associated pair of legs and at the other end is pivotally connected the second bar while this latter is pivotally attached at its other end to the underside of said table-top to the pivot axes of said guiding bar systems being parallel to those of the pairs of legs said two bars of each bar system being 80 dimensioned that when they are in their coaxial position they maintain the legs in erected position while when a bar has been pivoted relatively to the other through an angle of 180.degree. one bar is entirely received into the other and both are brought into contact with the underside of the table-top means are are associated with the pivot joint between the first and second bar of each bar system to releasably locking the bars in erected position, of the table and other means are provided to releasably lock each pair of legs to the table-top in the folded position of the table. |
