Miniature lamp socket adaptor - has metal cylindrical fitting placed in bayonet cap of housing

The adapter (8) is designed to fit in the socket of a BA9 type lamp. The adapter has a conducting material cylinder whose interior diameter corresponds approximately to that of the BA7 or other lamp. The exterior face of the cylinder has studs (10) on it which are designed to slide into the slots (11) in the bayonet cap (2) of the Ba9 socket. Inside the adapter (8) is a shoulder (9) against which the BA7 lamp is pressed.
