Cabinet for television, radio or similar sets has a box-shaped main component, a rear wall and a frontal screen frame. The walls of the main component consist at least partly of ribbed plates. Specifically, top and sidewalls are made of ribbed plates whilst frontal screen frame and bottom are made of 1 piece. At least the main component is mfd. of a modified polyphenylene oxide. It may be made by direct extrusion moulding.
