Setting tool for blind rivets - has lever to exert axial force on rivet to cause collapse of head

The tool for fitting blind rivets has a threaded shank (1) which is screwed into the tapped hole in the river shank. This action is effectd by a rod (33) with a special steep angled thread which is made to rotate by sliding the surrounding tube (34) by a knob. When the rivet is inserted in the holes of the parts to be riveted it is collapsed by moving the lever (19) towards the knob (35). This motion withdraws the shank (1) inside the bush (2) and so exerts the necessary axial force on the rivet.
