A method for recovering high-grade, preferably sulphur-free fuel from bituminous or pyrobituminous mineral-fuel materials, such as coal, oil shale and alum shale, said method comprising finelydividing the raw material and dividing said material into at least one fuel concentrate and a residual product which is bound to a durable agglomerate form by means of a binder. The method is characterized in that the raw material, subsequent to finely-dividing the same to a sufficient particle size physically, is divided into a high-grade, preferably sulphur-free mineral fuel concentrate containing a given quantity of ash-forming minerals adjusted relative to the content of ash-forming minerals of the raw material, and into a residual product comprising substantial ash-forming minerals. A binder for hydraulically binding the residual product to a durable agglomerate is produced from the fuel concentrate by combusting the same while using the fuel content of said concentrate.
|
