The supply for warm water at a closely defined temp. includes a handpiece through which heated water runs continuously, either to waste or to an outlet in dependence on the actuation of a diverting valve. The handpiece and its supply line are always at the required temp. The water is in response to the temp. of a negative temp. coefficient resistor in the supply line to the handpiece. The supply line also includes protective sensors for the presence of water, and an upper temp. limit. These sensors are also connected to the regulator.
