Fibre texturising jet with an initial throttle section - prevents the build=up of false airstream patterns within the jet

The construction of an injector jet, to dress and carry synthetic fibre filaments partic. in a texturising process, has >=1 throttle section at the inlet to the fibre delivery channel of the injector jet. This surrounds the fibre generally without contact and has a clear cross-section which is smaller than the fibre delivery channel. The throttle section incorporates an exchangeable disc-shaped aperture plate located between the fibre inlet opening and the fibre delivery channel to give a selected clear cross-section for the fibre passage with a cap placed on the jet. The throttle section can also have a number of individual seals, located in succession, surrounding the fibres, to act as a labyrinth passage for throttling the air-stream leading to an expansion chamber. There is >=1 distance ring within the labyrinth for a fluid chamber from an auxiliary channel, with adjustable pressure in the chamber(s). The construction gives an injector jet assembly, for pneumatic texturising, which reduces the level of false airstreams in the operative zone.
