<p>PURPOSE: To enhance an electric connection to facilitate insertion and removal by providing an electric contact portion having a following part of a C-shaped cross section which is formed of opposite arms extending from a coupling curved part. CONSTITUTION: An electric contact member 10 has a main body 12 having an axis 14. First 16 and second 18 parts are separated and connected by a following part or elastic repulsive part 20. The following part 20 has an almost C-shaped cross section and comprises opposite arms 22, 24 extending from a coupling curved part 26. Each of the arms 22, 24 has a predetermined uniform thickness. The coupling curved part 26 is thinner than the arms 22, 24 and uniformly distributes stresses around a through hole 30 in a printed circuit board 32. The hole 30 has a conductive coating 33. The contact member is closed die-molded out of a predetermined thickness of phosphor bronze serving as the raw material of a seal.</p> |
