<p>The correction method is for the sound tract of cine film that has had frames removed during editing the film having a magnetic track for the sound record. The correction covers the loss of synchronisation between image and sound when such cutting occurs and consists of replacing the sound exactly against the appropriate frame using a read and re-record system. Conversely after editing the sound is re-read and recorded with standard displacement for normal commercial use. Three heads are employed two being spaced apart by this standard displacement, the third an erase head, is positioned between these.</p> |
