The prefabricated, modular building consists of wall panels, flooring and roofing panels. The wall panels (1, 2), flooring and roofing panels are made with a core (1a, 2a) of cellular material, such as polyurethane, inside a cladding (1b, 2b) made from glass fibre and resin, such as polyester. The vertical adjacent edges of the sections have complementary shapes, so that one edge stands our (5), and the complementary one is recessed (6), allowing the sections to interlock by tongue and groove. The edge of the floor sections fits into a groove at the base of the inner surface of the wall panels. The floor panels have a vertical downward-pointing projection for fitting into the wall panels. Metal plates (9, 10) are inserted between the core and cladding, and act as supports for the self-tapping screws (8) which join sections together.
|
