The Y-shaped leg (1) is square at its base (1C) and tubular in its horizontal branching-out (1b). Square extension sections (4b) fit over the tubular branches (1b). The square or polygonal extremities are separated from the tubular supports by a small plaque (3) of identical dimension as the supports. Holes (7) are reception points for the item of furniture to be supported by the bottom fitment. The leg is designed to support cupboards and other items of furniture. The items of furniture may be of modulas construction.
