The flue gas channel used especially in boilers for firing solid, liquid or gaseous fuels, has a cross section which varies from end to end. This channel is arranged downstream of the combustion chamber which is enclosed by the water chamber. The flue gas channel, acting as a convection surface, ensures high heat transfer rate. The contraction angle (alpha) before the narrowest cross section, and the angle of divergence (beta) of cross section which form the channel walls with the channel longitudinal axis are not equal. The cross section converges with nonuniform spacing. The contraction angles can be greater than the diverging part angles.
|
