Valve for blood sampling needle - has slider between cannular and hollow needle holders, with pressure pad and finger ring

The device for taking e.g. blood samples by puncturing the skin of a patient, is also operated as a valve. The device has a body (4) with a collar (3) at the top for inserting the cannula and a nozzle (5) at the bottom for insertion of the hollow needle. At right angles to the body is a flat slider (6) which in one end position interrupts the flow through these two parts. In another end position the flow can pass through a hole (11) in the slider. At one end of the slider is a pad (7) for hand pressure, and at the other end, is a ring (4) for inserting a finger. Near the hole (11) is a stop (10) for correct location of the slider.
