<p>The present invention provides a material in form of a web or sheet for use in the manufacture of a packing container or parts thereof, said material comprising a relatively stiff carrier layer and a continuous impermeable thermosplastic coating in at least that side of the material which is to form the inside of the packing container at least one edge selected from the longitudinal edges or the side edges of the web or sheet having a narrow edge zone of a heat-activatable bonding agent, which zone extends in the plane of the web or the sheet beyond the said edge or to form a part extending the web or sheet.</p> |
