In addition to at least one device (3, 3a, 3b) for conveying the material (3c), movable injecting needles (23) are provided which can be moved transversely to the conveying direction of the material and can be inserted into the material, so that the latter can have liquid injected into it. Two groups of such needles are provided which enclose an acute angle between them, so that liquid can be injected into the material crosswise, from different directions.
