Wire matrix printing head - has wire pin ends struck by armatures in bearings along ellipse periphery

The wire pattern printing head has a number of wire pins actuated by individual solenoids with armatures striking them, so as to press them against a recording surface. The ends of the pins (13) struck by the armatures (9) are accommodated in a support and guide assembly along the periphery of an ellipse, and are held straight by a bearing. A common pressure piece forms a single upper stop above the armatures, at a distance above them which is the same for all. Means can be provided to adjust the position of the support securing the wire pin tips at the printing end of the head, and also the uppermost position of the armature hammer ends.
