Coarse mine rubble handling system - mixes rubble with slurry containing sand, water and binder stored above ground

A handling method for mine rubble (7) stored at an underground storage point (7) includes mixing the coarse rubble with a heavy liquid and discharging the mixture into e.g. storage tank for disposal which may be above ground. Fine granular material such as sand (1) stored in tankers above ground is mixerd with a binding medium are discharged by a conveying screw (2) onto a paddle wheel mixer (4). Waen (3) from a tank above ground, is also discharged onto the paddle wheel and the mixture is pumped through a supply pipe (6) underground where another conveying screw discharges the coarse material into the flow. This then passes through another pipe to the discharge point.
