The drainage-water throttle for reducing the throughflow of contaminated drainage water, containing, in particular, solids, in enclosed pipelines and channels has an essentially rotationally symmetrical flat turbulence chamber (1). Into the outer surface (2) of said chamber there opens an inlet nozzle (3) which is offset in parallel with respect to the radial direction and on the underside of which a discharge diaphragm (7) is provided in the chamber base (6). The turbulence chamber (1) is in the form of a flat cylinder. The base (6) of the chamber (1) slopes downwards in the direction of the discharge diaphragm (7). The inlet nozzle (3) opens essentially tangentially into the outer surface (2). This simple turbulence-chamber throttle is highly suitable for throttling the throughflow in drainage-water systems. Special control possibilities such as, for example, by means of control nozzles are not necessary. A single inlet nozzle and an outlet diaphragm suffice. <IMAGE>
