Tubular inserted frame section - is joined to others by filler pieces forming part of separate fixing devices

The frame section is particularly for one to be inserted in an existing window frame, and whose straight portions form a continuous profiled tube. They are secured to each other by filler pieces jammed in the tubes. The filler pieces (4) are part of separate fixing devices, typically angle pieces (3). Two fixing devices at least can be for securing an intermediate section to two opposite straight sections of the frame. There can be two or more intersecting intermediate sections, joined by a fixing device with four protrusions acting as filler pieces. The design avoids the need for bevelling the section ends at 45 deg. to fit them together, nor is it necessary to assemble the complete frame at the works before despatch.
