PURPOSE:To improve a picture quality degradation generated when a signal having vertical high-pass components such as a horizontal edge is moved upward/downward by interlace-scanning-converting a signal obtained with a specific filter and transmitting it as a reinforcing signal. CONSTITUTION:As to the reinforcing signal, a successive scanning camera 1 output is made to pass a [f-nu] filter 6, components indicated in figure (a) are obtained, and they are interlace-converted through a [successive scanning -interlace] converting circuit 7. Through a low-pass filter 8, they are modulated by a modulator 9, they are made confluent with a main signal by the scanning line part for each approximately sixty lines up/down in the case of executing upward/downward masking, the 'hole' of a three-dimensional frequency, the part of a corner in a two-dimensional frequency area, the orthogonal modulation of a video carrier, an overscanning area, the utilization of the other channel, etc. At a reception side, the separation and demodulation are executed by a separating and demodulating circuit 10, thereafter, the reinforcing signal is successively scanned by a successive scanning circuit 11, and it is totaled up with the main signal. Thus, the picture quality degeneration of 'horizontal edge moved upward/downward' can be improved. |
