<p>Polyethylene sheet is used in the form of a tube closed one end. First, the sides are corrugated, forming a bay in which filled bags are stacked, then the sides are stretched to enclose the bags, folded over the tops then inwards, and heat treated to grip them compactly. Lifting slings are used to load them, and the package is stacked complete with the lifting slings ready for subsequent unloading. Method allows the bags to be lifted on board a ship, then stacked, without using pallets. The risk of breakage of the pallets, and damage to the filled bags is avoided.</p> |
