The anthropological measuring apparatus has a graduated main ruler on which a cursor slides. The latter carries a first auxiliary ruler perpendicular to the main one. At one end of the main ruler is a head slewing about the lengthwise axis of the main ruler. A spirit level is mounted on the top of the head, which also has a second auxiliary ruler perpendicular to the main one, with graduations running in opposite directions on two of its faces. There may be a first groove at the lower end of the cursor, accommodating the first auxiliary ruler for measurements of orthostatism.
