The elastic socket strip, for connecting to deformed as well as normal printed circuit boards, has its spring contacts (4) located in rigid separate sub-housings (5) (pref. made of a duroplast) and the subhousings enclosed in an elastic outer housing (1) made of a rubbery polyurethane. The subhousings are linked by flexible webs formed by slots in the outer housing. - The edge of the printed circuit board fits into a slot extending right across the socket strip. A reinforcing rib passes along the housing to provide reinforcement, thereby only allowing the socket strip to bend out of the board's plane.
