<p>Method for mfg. moulds with finely engraved design designs, for prodn. of objects of synthetic material is carried out by forming the design by hot pressing a metal gauze which is then removed after its design and its vol. have been impressed in the mould. Pref. the metal gauze, of which the softening point is greater than that of the mould, is placed between the two dies of the mould and the whole assembly is heated until the mould temp. is sufficient to allow impression of the gauze in the mould by deformation of the latter. A solid metal sheet of which softening point is at least equal to that of the gauze is also placed between the dies so that the moulded article has a fine relief on only one of its surfaces.</p> |
